Antenna Doping: The Key for Achieving Efficient Optical Wavelength Conversion in Crystalline Chromophoric Heterolayers
نویسندگان
چکیده
High-yield wavelength conversion is one of the key requirements for efficient photon energy harvesting. Attempts to realize by simply stacking layers chromophores have failed so far, even when using highly crystalline assemblies and employing recently discovered long-range (>100 nm) Förster resonance transfer (LR-FRET). Optical efficiency drastically improved chromophoric metal–organic framework heterolayers fabricated layer-by-layer in connection with an “antenna doping” strategy. Systematic investigations reveal that LR-FRET mechanism, reported previously aggregates, anisotropic neat materials but can be made more isotropic doping strategies. Using optimized fabrication parameters dopant concentrations, a three-layer, two-step cascade overall optical ≈75% realized.

Sparse-Partial Wavelength Conversion in Wavelength-Routed All-Optical Networks
Wavelength conversion has been shown as one of the key techniques that can improve the blocking performance in a wavelength-routed all-optical network. Given that wavelength converters nowadays are still very expensive, how to make effective use of the limited number of wavelength converters becomes an important issue. In this paper, we propose a novel sparse-partial wavelength conversion (SPWC...

متن کاملCoherent optical wavelength conversion via cavity optomechanics.
Both classical and quantum systems utilize the interaction of light and matter across a wide range of energies. These systems are often not naturally compatible with one another and require a means of converting photons of dissimilar wavelengths to combine and exploit their different strengths. Here we theoretically propose and experimentally demonstrate coherent wavelength conversion of optica...

متن کاملAll-optical wavelength conversion for mode division multiplexed superchannels.
We report in this work the first all-optical wavelength conversion (AOWC) of a mode division multiplexed (MDM) superchannel consisting of 2N modes by dividing the superchannel into N single-mode (SM) tributaries, wavelength converting N SM signals using well developed SM-AOWC techniques, and finally combining the N SM tributaries back to an MDM superchannel at the converted wavelength, inspired...
